Information, Resources and Updates for KidCheck Users

We're exploring integrating in a background check service into KidCheck and would love to hear your thoughts on how (or if) such a service could serve you best.

If you all wouldn't mind sharing with us...

1) Would you use the service if it was integrated?

2) What you currently pay for background checks, and do you feel it is a good value?

3) What do you like or dislike about your current background check provider?

4) Any other thoughts or ideas regarding background screenings.

Thanks!

I currently pay $10.50 per check. Depending on how extensive your check is I would consider using it. It would also depend on the process. We currently have the volunteer fill out the form, and than I turn it into someone. Than I go and get it a week later or so. If it was quicker that would be a big plus. Sometimes we need to check just drivers records for the year, we would be able to that through your system?

We currently use Protect My Ministries. We pay 1 fee per year for access and then pay per background check. Not sure on the price- (I think it's $100 a year and $6-$8 per submission). I personally would love to see it (background checks) integrated into Kidcheck and user managed. One of the biggest drawbacks we have now is that each potential worker has to fill out a form, submit it to our leader(s) and then they input the info online. Some people are leery about giving their info to someone. Having it integrated with their user account would take that concern away and remove another layer where mistakes can be made. Then a report could be sent to the administrators when a someone is cleared.
I have a team who would love to give their opinions I'm sure Let me know how we can help.
Thanks for making things easier for us with Kidcheck- Y'all (that's you all) "get it"

1. We might use the service.
2. I'm not sure what we currently pay for background checks, but I'm certain it's between $9-$15 because we do a basic national check plus 1 state.
3. For our church database, we use ACS. Their background checks take just a few seconds to run and give instant feedback. Once you put the person's info into the database, they are ready to be checked. We have had to wait a few days or even a couple of weeks with other background checks.
