Information, Resources and Updates for KidCheck Users

We've had a few recent questions about how to effectively use KidCheck with visual paging systems. If your church doesn't already have an LED visual pager, it probably has some capability to visually page parents in service if you are using presentation software like Media Shout to project song lyrics & backup material for the sermon. KidCheck was designed with these types of systems in mind and works well with visual paging displays.

KidCheck's security code that gets printed on a guardian's check-in receipt works very well as a parent's paging number. It's a secure code that's generated only at check-in and is completely random. However, depending on the limitations of your display's capabilities (3 character only, numeric only, etc) you may have to make a few adjustments to KidCheck in order to make the 2 systems work together.

To setup KidCheck to print codes that match your visual paging system, go to settings -> Check-in Station Settings and scroll to the very bottom. There you can change the "Printed Security Code" settings to match your paging system.

Keep in mind that by changing these settings, you may actually limit the total number of children you can check-in in a single day. By selecting numeric only - 3 character codes, you're stuck at 1000 check-ins a day. (By selecting alpha-numeric, 4 character you run out of codes at a measly 15 million check-ins a day)

Happy Paging!
