I like the all-in-one systems for check-in stations so you still get a large screen, you don't have to mess with a bunch of wires, yet you can get them for almost as cheap as a netbook.

There is not a way to increase the font, however you can zoom in your browser to make everything a little bit bigger. Just press Ctrl and + at the same time and it will zoom in to make everything bigger.
You cannot shut off a check-in based on a adult/child ratio. That information is there really for informational purposes. However, you can set a room capacity and shut it off that way once the room fills up to a certain number that you select.
My guess is you are using Internet Explorer 6. KidCheck is only compatible with IE7 or higher. Just go to microsoft.com/ie and download the latest version of Internet Explorer.

You actually do not have to have an email address to create a login account. Instead of entering an email address just create a username that they will remember. We ask for email just to make it easier for people to remember their usernames.

In order to become volunteer or administrator you need to make sure that person has created a login account and not just a guardian account. The difference is with a guardian account, they would have just entered their information at your facility.…
