Information, Resources and Updates for KidCheck Users

Is there a way that we can make the text in the medical/allergy info larger and in a different font so that it stands out more? We have several children with life threatening food allergies and this would help them to be more prominent to our volunteers.

Great suggestion & we'll definitely take a look at it.

We're up against a few challenges to keep in mind. Since the labels are relatively small, we only have a limited number of characters we can use in that box. I'll see if there is a way we can scale the font size based on the number of characters in the box.

Obviously the printers are B/W only, but one thing that my church has done to help increase the visibility is that they have a small sheet of stickers next to the check-in station. If a child has a listed allergy (of any kind) the attendant or parent puts a sticker on the child's name badge so you can't miss it. It's an extra step, but a simple way to raise visibility to an allergy.
Wanted to get your feedback on this. I took your suggestion back to the team to see what they would come up with...

For a child that has medical or allergy information listed, we can print out the name badge with the name reversed (white on black) so you can see from across the room that they have a special condition.

For kids without any medical info listed we just print them normally.

This option can be enabled (default) or disabled if you don't want to highligh medical information.

Thoughts?
This is a great idea, I think it will work out well.
I love this option as we have many children at our church who have severe food allergies, including my own 2 lil guys.
Wondering where this option is located in the system? :)

Thanks for all your help!
Even though the system prints out the allergy. We have a small basket of red dot stickers about 1/2 an inch in diameter. We have the child with the allergy or that parent put the sticker on the name label. It shows up well and lets the teaching staff know that they need to read the tag!
Good luck,
Bobbie Schmidt
