Information, Resources and Updates for KidCheck Users

I have at least 2 families that I know of who have created accounts, but are not showing up on my Guardian Login Account Registration report. I am concerned there are more that I do not know about. How can I make sure that everyone who has created accounts is on that list? We are rolling out this weekend! I am nervous and excited all at once! Thanks so much! ~Michelle

Good questions. Let me start off by saying that you really don't have anything to worry about, and here's why...

The way that KidCheck is designed is that parents can put in their information on-line & then go to ANY facility that uses KidCheck & check-in. Their information follows them to their church, day care, school, etc. But their child care facility (aka your church) won't be able to see their information until the have checked in at least once at that facility.

Ok, so we got a lot of questions from churches prior to their roll-out that said "I'd like to know how many parents have created accounts before they have check-into my facility so I know how many have responded to our announcements..."

The solution to that is that when a new parent creates a login account from kidcheck.com, they can optionally select your facility as the referrer to them creating the account. The folks that selected your facility show up on the "Guardian Login Account Registration" report.

Now, selecting a referring organization has nothing to do with a parents ability to check-in at your facility or in any way "associate" their account with you beyond just listing them on that 1 particular report. Any parent that has a KidCheck account can still check-in at your church even if they didn't select any facility (or selected another facility) as the referrer when they created the account. It's sole purpose is to just give you a vague idea of the number of parents that have created accounts thus far.

So, if a parent doesn't show up on the list that you are certain created an account, no big deal at all. They will still be able to check-in without any issue and honestly, once you've rolled out, you'll probably never look at the Guardian Login Account Registration report again as it's only there to provide you with some pre-launch visibility. The attendance reports will give you accurate information about the folks that have checked in and out of your church.
Thank you Alex, I understand better now. One of the families did designate Still Water as their facility. From what you said though, this should not be a problem. I appreciate your help!
